I bought this camera because it had a top rating by a major magazine. The operation was intuitive, flawless, and very high quality video for this type of camera, comparable in my opinon to a tape non-HD or even better. It is 720p. It did well in managing light as well. One caveat is that it's so small, it's easy to move it a lot while capturing, so without a tripod the video although high quality, can be too jerky. That's not the fault of the camera, it's inherent in anything this small. As to ease of use, simplicity, quality, it's a good value and a must-have if you want something small. Hold it still or put it on a tripod and you'll get good videos.
Customer Review: Amazing Little Video Camcorder
When I opened the box and saw the size of the camcorder and the off the rack type packaging, I was prepared to be disappointed. Was I ever wrong. Within minutes I was shooting video and doing the playback....it was that easy. I still cannot believe the resolution and accurate color in the videos. It took awhile to get used to the small buttons for delete, playback and zoom, but I have no problem finding them now. Only negative in my opinion is the weak microphone volume, which can be compensated for when using my PC and TV speakers on playback. Great product and a great buy!
